The Bourrelet has the traditional look of chinaware typically found in busy Parisian Brasseries. In France, 1 out of 5 bistros or cafés use this fully vitrified line. The rim is moderately wide (1 1\2" for the 10 1\8"plate) and slightly slanted while the plate is thick and strong. Fired twice, all pieces are guaranteed to be first quality. Plates have a soft, rounded but distinct glazed foot. The Bourrelet line is broiler proof, shock resistant, microwave and dishwasher safe. It can retain a wide range of temperatures from hot to cold. With a shock resistance of up to 800 lbs. and perfect whiteness, Bourrelet is part of a lineage of chinaware more than 250 years old.
